About the role
We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electronic products in a manufacturing environment. You’ll work closely with quality, manufacturing, production, and engineering teams to identify product issues, improve test processes, and help ensure reliable, high-quality products reach customers.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on electronics, root cause analysis, and improving manufacturing quality.
What you’ll do
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic assemblies and finished products
- Diagnose PCB-level faults and identify root causes of product failures
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of production test equipment
- Interpret schematics, engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, and test procedures
- Recommend improvements to manufacturing and test processes based on failure analysis
- Perform component-level rework, soldering, desoldering, assembly, and repair of mixed-technology circuit boards
- Support production teams in resolving manufacturing and quality issues
- Maintain accurate repair records and technical documentation
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with established quality standards and manufacturing procedures
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product reliability and manufacturability
What we look for
- 5+ years of experience supporting electronics manufacturing, testing, or quality assurance
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies
- Strong working knowledge of electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, and related laboratory instruments
- Associate degree in Electronics or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and engineering documentation
- Experience performing component-level soldering and rework on through-hole and surface-mount assemblies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating across engineering and manufacturing teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Self-motivated with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
