About the role

We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support the planning and execution of complex build-to-print manufacturing projects. You’ll work with engineering, procurement, suppliers, and production teams to develop accurate manufacturing documentation, create detailed cost proposals, and ensure products are ready for efficient production.

This position is well suited for someone with experience interpreting technical documentation, developing Bills of Materials, and supporting the manufacture of high-reliability electromechanical assemblies.

What you’ll do

  • Develop detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) from engineering documentation and product specifications
  • Prepare manufacturing cost estimates, including materials, labor, and production requirements
  • Review technical drawing packages, wiring diagrams, fabrication files, and assembly documentation
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, suppliers, and manufacturing teams throughout the proposal process
  • Evaluate sourcing options and support make-versus-buy decisions where appropriate
  • Work with suppliers to obtain pricing and availability for components and manufactured parts
  • Ensure manufacturing documentation is complete, accurate, and production-ready
  • Support standardized build-to-print manufacturing processes
  • Help identify opportunities to improve cost, manufacturability, and production efficiency

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering discipline preferred
  • Experience creating Bills of Materials and manufacturing documentation
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, assembly documentation, and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with electromechanical assemblies, cable assemblies, connectors, or automated equipment is beneficial
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier sourcing
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • U.S. citizenship is required
